Helping Women Navigate Life, Trauma, and Change
Compassionate, evidence-based psychiatry and therapy for anxiety, depression, life transitions, reproductive and perinatal mental health, and more.
Who I Work With
I primarily work with adult women but also welcome men and people of all backgrounds. I support clients navigating life transitions, reproductive or hormonal changes, anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. If you’re curious whether we might be a good fit, I encourage you to reach out — I’m happy to discuss your needs.
Conditions I Treat
-
Anxiety can feel like a constant loop of worry, self-doubt, and avoidance. Through therapy, we explore both practical coping strategies and deeper patterns that fuel anxious thoughts, helping you understand what drives your responses. Mindfulness, flexible thinking skills, and medication or nervous system supports may also be incorporated. The goal is to reduce anxiety’s impact while increasing insight, self-awareness, and intentional living.
-
Depression can leave you feeling disconnected, exhausted, or unsure of your purpose. Therapy helps process emotions, uncover underlying patterns, and reconnect with what brings meaning and joy. Medication adjustments and lifestyle strategies may complement therapy to restore energy and engagement. The aim is lasting emotional balance and a renewed sense of purpose.
-
The reproductive years can bring profound emotional shifts, including postpartum depression or anxiety, challenges with infertility, pregnancy loss, or navigating the transition to parenthood. Therapy helps you process grief, uncertainty, and changes in identity, while exploring patterns that shape emotional responses. Together, we build coping strategies and self-awareness, and medications are used safely when appropriate, aiming for emotional stability and alignment with your values.
-
Trauma can disrupt how you relate to yourself and the world. Therapy offers a safe space to process past experiences, gain insight into relational and emotional patterns, and integrate coping strategies. Medications may support symptom management. The goal is to restore agency, calm, and a sense of safety.
-
Transitions like career changes, big moves, or evolving priorities can stir stress and overwhelm. Therapy helps clarify values, explore underlying patterns, and develop coping strategies for emotional regulation. Medication or other supports may be used when appropriate. The goal is to navigate transitions with resilience, insight, and a renewed sense of purpose.
-
Bipolar symptoms can feel destabilizing, but they are manageable. Therapy provides a space to gain insight into mood patterns and behavioral triggers, while learning coping strategies to maintain stability. Medication management and lifestyle routines support this work, helping you harness strengths and minimize disruption from highs and lows.
-
Hormonal shifts can affect mood, sleep, and identity. Therapy provides space to explore these changes, uncover patterns in emotional responses, and work toward insight and clarity. Medication and lifestyle strategies support emotional and physical well-being, while collaboration with HRT-prescribing clinicians ensures holistic care.
-
If mood and energy crash each cycle, it may be more than PMS. Therapy can help you notice emotional patterns and identify triggers, while structured strategies and medication reduce symptom impact. The goal is a more predictable, manageable, and self-aware cycle.
-
Obsessive thoughts and compulsions can feel intrusive and exhausting. Therapy combines insight-oriented exploration with skill-based strategies to shift repetitive loops and tolerate uncertainty. Medication may be incorporated as needed to support symptom reduction and daily functioning.

How It Works & What to Expect
Starting therapy or psychiatric care can feel overwhelming — my goal is to make the process clear, supportive, and collaborative.
1. Free Introductory Call
Before your first session, we’ll schedule a brief, 15 minute phone or video call. This is a chance to ask questions, discuss your needs, and determine if my approach is a good fit. It’s informal, no commitment, and helps you feel confident about next steps.
2. Your First Session
During the initial session, we’ll explore your experiences, challenges, and goals. Together, we’ll identify areas where support can help you feel more grounded, balanced, and in control.
3. Personalized Care Plan
A tailored care plan is developed based on your unique story and needs. For some, the plan may be clear during the first session; for others, it may take a few sessions to fully understand your history and create a plan that fits your goals. Care may include therapy, skills-based strategies, lifestyle guidance, and medication management when appropriate.
4. Frequency & Ongoing Support
Visit frequency is flexible — some clients benefit from weekly therapy sessions, others from monthly medication follow-ups, or a combination. We’ll regularly check in, adjust the plan, and ensure it continues to meet your evolving goals.
5. What a Session Feels Like
Sessions are collaborative, trauma-informed, and reflective. Together, we explore your experiences, uncover patterns, clarify your values, and identify small, meaningful steps toward living in alignment with what matters most to you.
